Objectives :

• To make future facilitators aware about different creative arts and crafts so that they can teach in class
• To enhance skills of future educators

The art and craft workshop was conducted on 28 July 2022 . The workshop began sharp at 1:00 pm .The workshop was conducted by Harshita sharma and Rachel D’Souza. The workshop was organized by Dr.Joan Lopes in the Multipurpose Hall of St. Teresa’s institute of education.Harshita sharma firstly showed the Material required to make a stocking flower like single colour Nylon , dual colour nylon stockings , stamens, wire, thread, steam wire, scissors, floral tape. She showed the students the sample stocking flower she made. She demonstrated the procedure of making the flower step by step. The first flower was one petal flower. Then she explained how to join these petals and make a whole flower. She showed two types of designs for the petals. Students made one petal flower and then tried to complete a whole flower.

The second workshop was conducted by Rachel Dsouza .She first showed the requirements needed to make the bookmark like white paper sheets, watercolours, brushes, sketch pens and then showed the sample of a bookmark to the class. She then gave measurements about the paper required to make a bookmark. Rachel herself demonstrated the process group wise. The theme was related to the completion of 50 years of the college. Then every student made the bookmark using a different water colour. With happy faces and colourful hands everyone left with the satisfaction that they learnt something new and creative today.
