The Research Cell of St. Teresa’s institute of Education was set up in 2017 And named ‘PRATITI’, a Sanskrit word meaning knowledge/insights. In keeping with its denotative meaning, the cell aims at providing research knowledge/insights and promoting the research culture of the Institution.

About the Cell
The cell promotes research bent of mind among the faculty members by steadfastly encouraging them to take up research-based activities. It aims at enhancing the research capacity of faculty and students and motivating the faculty to undertake UGC sponsored research projects. The Cell encourages members of the staff to publish their work in leading journals and to present papers at national and international conferences. The Cell also attempts to cultivate research interest among students.
The Research cell organizes Research Paper Reading sessions regularly. It is also liable for informing students about intercollegiate research opportunities and encouraging students to publish original work in leading journals and presenting the same at conferences. Moreover, the Cell also encourages faculty and students alike to take up research projects on contemporary local, national, and international issues. It endeavours to provide up-to-date knowledge to them about topics such as the guidelines for Formal Language for Research Writing, Intellectual Property Rights, Plagiarism, Copyright and Patents as well as Funding Agencies for sponsored research projects.
