“Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

My acquaintance with St Teresa’s Institute of Education is from the time I was a student. Those were golden moments as I reflect down memory lane .I could hardly speak as I was very timid and a teacher in the making. It was here that I got wings to soar high. I use to travel from home and back like as a simple country girl. It is here I heard the call into Carmel. The journey of a thousand miles began with one step. The rich experiences makes me pen down from the manager’s desk that I learnt to be creative, disciplined, I came to know I could sing, dance, act above all I learnt to be a good teacher & how to face life one day at a time. I wish to place on record that the institute has always maintained excellence in the field of education,

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” —Malcolm X. but how prepared are we to face artificial intelligence (AI) which has the potential to address some of the biggest challenges in education today, innovate teaching and learning practices, and accelerate progress towards quality education. Clouds come floating into our life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to our sunset sky. UNESCO’s mandate calls in here, for a human-centered approach to AI. It aims to shift the conversation to include AI’s role in addressing current inequalities regarding access to knowledge, research and the diversity of cultural expressions and to ensure AI does not widen the technological divides within and between countries. The promise of “AI for all” must be that everyone can take advantage of the technological revolution under way and access its fruits, notably in terms of innovation and knowledge.

“Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation.” Says Walter Cronkite Furthermore, UNESCO has developed within the framework of the Beijing Consensus a publication aimed at fostering the readiness of education policy- makers in artificial intelligence. This publication, Artificial Intelligence and Education: Guidance for Policy-makers, will be of interest to practitioners and professionals in the policy-making and education communities. It aims to generate a shared understanding of the opportunities and challenges that AI offers for education, as well as its implications for the core competencies needed in the AI era

“Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.” – Helen Keller Life is challenging but if you want to excel , we must learn important life lessons that will strengthen your spirit and overcome challenges. In the class you are taught and then given a test. In life you are given test that teaches you lessons. what holds us back is fear .We are never willing to lose, we are looking forward to winning our life but only few of us have taken lessons from our failures .Let us explore more how life can be made beautiful.

May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace because you trust in him. We learn something from everyone who passes through our lives some lessons are painful ,some are painless, but all are priceless. All is well best is yet to come.
