The session on women’s health issues was organized by Dr. Joan Lopes and the key speaker was Mrs. Seema Kasam. It was an online session held on Google Meet. Dr. Joan Lopes and Mr. Vijayshankar introduced the resource person. Miss Seema, 75 years old, has 18 years of experience in yoga and she threw light upon the different ways to make women’s health and life better with the help of yoga. Despite all the hardships, she never stopped and continues to help others till date.
The main subject of the session was Massage and its benefits. With full enthusiasm and a beautiful smile on her face, Miss Seema commenced by explaining the difference between Massage and Maalish. She explained, in brief, the benefits and working of both these techniques. Focusing more on the method of massage, she explained the benefits of massage. She demonstrated and showed us how to correctly massage. She demonstrated the knee massage exercise. She spoke about the importance of rest after massage.
The session was very helpful and effective. Massages are loved by everyone but there are so many new things we learnt. Miss Seema looked so fit, and this was an inspiration for all the people who were present in the meeting, to take care of oneself with the help of yoga. It was a pleasure being a part of this amazing session. Thank you!
