Educational Institution- Organizational Perspective - Guest Lecture by Dr. Elvina Pereira

A guest lecture by Dr. Elvina Pereira, a faculty of St. Xavier’s B.Ed College, Churchgate, was held at St. Teresa’s Institute of Education on 06th August, 2021. The lecture began sharp at 2:00pm and ended at 4:00pm. A total of 50 students from F.Y.B.Ed attended the lecture. It was organized by Dr. Joan Lopes, assistant professor at St. Teresa’s Institute of Education.

Dr. Joan began the session by introducing Dr. Elvina. The topic for the lecture was from Unit 2: Educational Institution- Organizational perspective, which is a part of the curriculum of Educational Management. Dr. Elvina began the lecture by showing different videos. She then went on to explain Peter Senge’s model of learning organization. She also explained 5 disciplines of learning organization in detail by giving lots of examples along with videos in between. She also circulated google form and asked many questions to the students.

The lecture was very interactive and the topic was explained very well. Dr. Elvina concluded the session with a small quiz on Google form. Lastly, Dr. Joan gave vote of thanks to Dr. Elvina for giving her valuable time and explaining the concept followed by Miss Romany Dmello, a student of St. Teresa’s Institute of Education. It was indeed an enriching session.
