On 4th May 2022, St. Teresa’s Institute of Education organized its Annual Sports Day. The event took place in the spacious playground of the college. Students of the First Year B.Ed (all 50 students) participated in the sports day. Before the event a short prayer was conducted after which the Principal and the students lit the torch of the college and everyone cheered for them.
The sports day event began at 8.30 am. After the lighting of the torch, all students of the colleges competed against each other in sports activities. Various games were conducted on that day like Marble and spoon, Potato Race, Needle and thread, three legged race and Book Balancing. All these games took place in 3 rounds as everyone participated in each game. After each game the pictures were clicked of the winners. The winners of the particular rounds were noted and later felicitated by certificates. Our college also made arrangements for refreshments for all students and staff.
Through this event we learnt that teamwork is a very important factor of our lives. We as future teachers are going to build and sharpen the minds of students so that they may grow in life as good human being and that they also share a team spirit as we shared here on this sports day. Through self-discipline and work under pressure we also learn that it is necessary to acquire and build skills for us to develop as human beings and more importantly as teachers so that we can be a good role model to students. We also have learnt to understand concepts, rules or procedures that are required in life and learnt to use their personal strategies to think, organize, learn and behave whenever and wherever we go.
